Singapore combines Western development with Eastern serenity, combining the best of both worlds. Singapore has plenty of family-friendly things for both kids and grown ups to enjoy. Enjoy a Weekend Cruise 

As mentioned earlier, Singapore is home to a state-of-the-art cruise terminal and is very popular for cruises departing from there. A cruise can be a wonderful exploratory adventure where you can enjoy the endless sea beauty all day by boat. Several service providers in Singapore offer cruise services, one of which is the Royal Caribbean. This ship leaves Singapore for exciting trips to nearby Asian destinations. These cruises are considered rather expensive, but comparing the price of the cruise to any airfare, you can save a lot and enjoy the trip as well. 

Walk Around Gardens by the Bay 

Gardens by the Bay is a huge natural park in the heart of Singapore. The  park covers over 250 acres and has three coastal areas in the form of small gardens- Bay South Gardens (South Pier), Bay East Gardens (East Pier) and Bay Central Gardens (Downtown). The largest of these three gardens is Bay South Garden, located on the 150-acre Marina South. This large-scale project aims to improve Singapore’s quality of life through the development of Singapore’s native greenery and vegetation. 

Hiking in the Southern Ridges 

If you’re looking for something to do in Singapore away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Southern Ridges are a great place to visit. It is a strip of open space and greenery that stretches across Singapore’s hills, gardens and parks. It is connected by a beautiful path (or ridge) where you can take refreshing walks. You can walk along the path that connects the two hilltops, enjoying views of Singapore Bay from one side and panoramic views of the city from the other. There are many popular places like Mount Faber Park, Marang Trail, Henderson Waves and more to explore.

A Day at Botanical Gardens 

Next on your list of things to do in Singapore is a visit to the Botanical Gardens. This tropical garden has been preserved for about 160 years. It is the only one of three gardens in Singapore to have UNESCO World Heritage status. It is considered the best park in Asia in the charts of major travel sites. The distance between the northern and southern ends of the garden is about 2.5 km and there are several entrances. Some of the popular attractions are National Orchid Garden, Burkill Hill, VIP Orchid Garden, Coolhouse and Tan Hoon Siang Mist House.

Cycling at Punggol Water Park

Next on our list of things to do in Singapore is Punggol Water Park. It is a 12-hectare riverside park in Punggol, Singapore. The park has four themed areas that attract a variety of visitors. A variety of themes  are available, including Natural Cove, Recreation Area, Heritage Area, and Green Gallery, each with its own characteristics. For example, in the first area you can relax and unwind with the view, and in the other area, such as the relaxation area, you can do fun activities in the sand. 

Singapore is a hot mix of different cultures, including indigenous Malays, Chinese, Indians, British, Arabs, as well as different ethnicities. Take a break and relax with your family in these fun spots during weekends in Singapore.

    To add on, you can also go camping in the Nature – It’s a great new way for you and your family to explore Singapore’s nature and make more lasting memories or picnic at Marina Barrage. My daughters love it and this is our monthly activity~
